More about me!

Growing up I got to visit Disney World once! It was a very special trip celebrating my birthday, my sister’s birthday and my parents 25th anniversary. We stayed at the All-Star Movies resort and to this day I remember it being one of my favorite vacations ever. The magic of Disney is truly unmatched.

Fast forward to being a 25-year-old who is too nervous to fly to Europe for her honeymoon and ends up back at Disney for the first time in 13 years. I didn't expect to love it as much as an adult, but unfortunately for our bank account, I loved it even more. My husband and I had the absolute time of our lives and discovered we love doing Disney together. So later that year we purchased annual passes for ourselves and have been back many times since.

Here are all of the resorts we have stayed at in recent times:

Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter, Pop Century, Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club, Boardwalk, and The Cabins at Fort Wilderness.

Just this year we decided to jump in as DVC members and are so excited to see how that goes! We are expecting our first baby and know that Disney is something we will continue to do for many many years. On top of that we have become spoiled to staying at the deluxe resorts so we felt like DVC was the way to go. Our home resort is the Polynesian!

My favorite snack at Disney has got to be the Mickey beignets from Scat Cats over at the Port Orleans French Quarter resort! Notice the beignet Mickey ears in my picture here. Recently, I discovered how delicious the Joffery’s giant donuts are and those are putting up a fight for first place. Be sure to get a pink, blue or white one though. The chocolate isn’t as good!

My favorite ride is definitely Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. When it comes to the slower rides though, I have to go with The Seas with Nemo & Friends.

If I had to give one tip to anyone traveling to Disney it would be this; be ready to go with the flow. Whether you’re traveling with adults only or 10 kids, something will usually go wrong on you trip whether it’s an unexpected rain shower, rides being closed down or not being able to get everything checked off of your list of must-do’s. No matter what happens, a bad day at Disney is always better than a day back at the office. So enjoy every minute, even the not so pretty ones!
